March Break is designed to be a fun-filled week of cooking. Children ages 4-6 and 7-12 will prepare, hands-on, our favourite and traditional Italian meals for lunch, ex. gnocchi, tagliatelle, arancini, pizza and more. In-class instruction, they will be learning the Italian translation of meals, ingredients, cooking terminology, nutrition and kitchen safety.
Children from the 4 to 6 age group will be doing simple desserts like muffins, pancakes, and puddings. In-class instruction for children that are not yet able to read or write will be an extraction of vocabulary from a song or a story and be introduced to simple phonics. All Children are encouraged to take part in all activities which will include fun games and music.
